What is Couch 2 5k
Couch 2 5k is desgined as an 8 week program for absolute beginners or those who want to become more active.
You do not need to have any running experience, just suitable clothing and a willingness to succeed.

Each week will consist of 3 sessions, 2 coach led and one self led. Every week the sessions will progress until you are running for 30 minutes at the end of the block.
​
The benefit of having a coach leading the sessions allows us to make sure everyone is running correctly and efficiently. Training within a group also gives us accountability and encouragement.

What Do I Need to Wear
We all know that the weather can be unpredictable..
​
It is best to wear layers, even though it could be cold, it wont take long to warm up. Dropping layers is better than being too cold which can lead to injury or be too warm and feel uncomfortable.
​
Footwear- a pair of running shoes will be required. They are designed for running and will help reduce the risk of injury.
